I met my girlfriend online, and we fell for each other hard. The problem is, she’s in the Philippines. I’m not rich, but she even less so, and I know I can give her a better life here.Neither of us can afford to fly to the other end of the world right now, so I need to plan. What is the fastest and cheapest way to get someone to America legally? And if a temporary pass can be given faster, will marrying her before it expires solidify our chances at a K2 Visa (I think that’s the “marriage green card”)?

To apply for a fiance visa ( K1) you have to hae already met to apply, K2 is to bring a K1′s children, K3 visa means you are already married which again requires that you have met to get married. If she comes on a visitors visa and married you have to prove that wasn’t your original intent because they could accuse you of fraud and ban her from the US. To have her here as your wife you need to be able to show you are able to afford it.
