Mariah Carey’s $5.4 million gift from Brunei prince!
London, Aug 30: Some fans send flowers and some letters, but the gift sent by the Sultan of Brunei’s son to songbird Mariah Carey is sure to top her list of fans for a very long time to come, for he sent her $5.4 million worth of diamonds.
24-year old Prince Azim, who is third in line to the Sultanate, showed just what a huge fan of the singer he really is when he gifted her an eight-carat flawless diamond and platinum necklace and matching ring, reports the Mirror.
And, the gift was delivered by private jet to the ‘Emancipation of Mimi’ singer just before she performed live in front of 20,000 fans at New York’s Madison Square Garden recently.
“We were sent by private jet to deliver this gift,” a representative said.
The gift certainly seemed to have the desired effect, for fans and guest performers both left the concert raving about the singer and her voice. (ANI)
