Mariah Carey Buys Little Piece Of Marilyn Monroe

Singer Mariah Carey has splashed out $662,500 on a piano that used to belong to screen legend Marilyn Monroe.Carey bought the piano during an auction at Christieâ€™s to have in her New York penthouse.

The newly svelte Carey said of her purchase: “I could have gotten the ‘Happy Birthday, Mr President’ dress or whatever, but that would have represented Marilyn Monroe’s stardom.

“The piano belonged to her mother and was a piece of her childhood.”

Carey is reportedly a lifelong fan of Monroe and has photos of the star all over her apartmentâ€¦lets hope she doesnâ€™t try and lay all over the piano and break the damn thing.
