When you apply for a K1 Visa you need to file a petition to bring your fiancee to the United States. This is done by filling an I129F form with the USCIS and this is where the process starts.

Starting the process is reasonably easy. You need to file the following:

• You need to file the I129F form;
• You need to file two G325A forms;
• You need the documents needed for the K1 Visa application;
• You need a copy of your US passport;
• You need to show you meet the K1 Visa financial requirements;
• Proof of a relationship – loads of photos, emails etc;
• Medical exams and criminal record clearance.

Once this has been filed the next process gets a bit easier if you have located and submitted all the documentation.
