Jay-Z made a surprise appearance at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, showing up on stage during Mariah Carey’s tour stop. Jay stepped in during her performance of their single, “Heartbreaker,” and later bowed in awe as Carey hit her signature high notes wearing nothing more than a bikini and a cape. Meanwhile, Jay has announced details of his world tour. Before spanning the globe, Jay will play the Sept. 7 Fashion Rocks concert at Radio City Music Hall in New York. Two days later, Krakow, Poland, will witness the first overseas performance. He’ll play at least one show in Amsterdam, Germany, Turkey, Greece, England, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, Tanzania, Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, Hong Kong, Thailand, South Korea, Taiwan and Singapore before wrapping up with three dates in Australia, the final stop being Oct. 28 in Melbourne.

Fans attending Mariah Carey’s show in Uncasville, Connecticut on Friday night were furious after paying top dollar to see her perform for less than an hour.

The star’s show lasted for all of 75 minutes and she was off stage for 15 of those minutes for multiple costume changes.

Fans had paid up to $160 (€125) to see the concert, at the Mohegan Sun Arena, with the lowest price seats going for $90 (€70).

After performing We Belong Together, Carey said her goodbyes to the crowd and left the stage to get ready for what fans thought would be an encore, but she never re-appeared.

Pop singing superstar Mariah Carey has recently signed a profitable deal with soft drink giant Pepsi. The deal will have Carey produce 20 ring tones and star in a series of commercials in promotion for the product.

Mariah Carey has a personal assistant who holds and serves her drinks for her.

British TV presenter Graham Norton, who recently interviewed the singer, has revealed the star, known for her outrageous demands, summoned a staff member to her side whenever she was thirsty.

The camp comic star claims Mariah supped her drinks through a straw and wouldn’t even hold her beverages herself.

He said: “She put her head to one side for people to serve her a drink through a straw, like she was unable to use her hands.”

Singer Mariah Carey has splashed out $662,500 on a piano that used to belong to screen legend Marilyn Monroe.Carey bought the piano during an auction at Christie’s to have in her New York penthouse.

The newly svelte Carey said of her purchase: “I could have gotten the ‘Happy Birthday, Mr President’ dress or whatever, but that would have represented Marilyn Monroe’s stardom.

“The piano belonged to her mother and was a piece of her childhood.”

Carey is reportedly a lifelong fan of Monroe and has photos of the star all over her apartment…lets hope she doesn’t try and lay all over the piano and break the damn thing.
