Applying for a K1 Visa
Since your fiancee is not a US citizen and you are planning to get married in the United States, your first stop will be to file a petition with the INS on behalf of your fiancee for a K1 Visa.
Once this petition is approved, your fiancee or girlfriend must obtain a US Visa issued from the U.S. Embassy or consulate where she is located. Once you arrive back in the US you must get married within 90 days of her entering the United States. Should you not get married within 90 days or your fiancee gets married to someone other than you your she will be required to leave the United States. Until such time that the marriage takes place, your fiancee is considered a nonimmigrant. A nonimmigrant is a foreign national seeking to temporarily enter the United States for a specific purpose.
