Christina Aguilera is desperate to put her feud with Mariah Carey behind her, and insists she was naive to talk so honestly about their stormy relationship in the past. Aguilera told GQ magazine earlier this year that Carey had been scathing about her on several occasions, and that she made derogatory comments about her at a party. Carey hit back at the time, saying she would forgive Aguilera’s comments and “keep her in my prayers.”

The crowd of mostly pretty teens and gays, some heavily intoxicated was warmed up by the suggestive moves of Sean Paul, who performed a string of his hits, including “Baby Boy.” Along with his four backup dancers, he brought tons of energy to the stage during his entire 45-minute set.

Mariah Carey’s “The Adventures of Mimi Tour” made a stop at the TD Banknorth Garden in Boston Monday night and brought with it hits, hotties, and of course, lots of glitter.

The crowd of mostly teen girls was warmed up by the sexy voice and suggestive moves of Sean Paul, who performed a string of his hits, beginning with “Like Glue.” Along with his four backup dancers, he brought enough energy to the stage to have everyone out of their seats during his entire 45-minute set.

After a long 75-minute intermission, the curtains — adorned with the initials “MC” in pink glitter — opened to reveal a stage fit for a queen: Mariah had arrived.

Beginning with her hit “It’s Like That,” Carey announced her mission for the night — “I came to have a party” — and the crowd’s deafening screams showed they were ready for just that. Decked out in skimpy purple-glitter booty shorts and crop top, Carey hit those infamous high notes and delighted the crowd with their favorite songs, old and new.

Two days later, Krakow, Poland, will witness the first overseas performance. He’ll play at least one show in Amsterdam, Germany, Turkey, Greece, England, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, Tanzania, Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, Hong Kong, Thailand, South Korea, Taiwan and Singapore before wrapping up with three dates in Australia, the final stop being Oct. 28 in Melbourne.

Fans attending Mariah Carey’s show in Uncasville, Connecticut on Friday night were furious after paying top dollar to see her perform for less than an hour.

The star’s show lasted for all of 75 minutes and she was off stage for 15 of those minutes for multiple costume changes.

Fans had paid up to $160 (€125) to see the concert, at the Mohegan Sun Arena, with the lowest price seats going for $90 (€70).

After performing We Belong Together, Carey said her goodbyes to the crowd and left the stage to get ready for what fans thought would be an encore, but she never re-appeared.

24-year old Prince Azim, who is third in line to the Sultanate, showed just what a huge fan of the singer he really is when he gifted her an eight-carat flawless diamond and platinum necklace and matching ring, reports the Mirror.

And, the gift was delivered by private jet to the ‘Emancipation of Mimi’ singer just before she performed live in front of 20,000 fans at New York’s Madison Square Garden recently.

“We were sent by private jet to deliver this gift,” a representative said.

The gift certainly seemed to have the desired effect, for fans and guest performers both left the concert raving about the singer and her voice. (ANI)
